What is the HETA

We are an electrical training facility formed in partnership between The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and The National Electrical Contractors Association.  Joined together, they have formed The Electrical Training Alliance, which is dedicated to producing the safest, most highly skilled, and knowledgeable journeyman electricians possible.

The Hutchinson Electrical Training Academy is proud to partner with these local organizations:

INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS (IBEW)

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers is the largest electrical union in the world. The IBEW represents workers’ rights in all areas of the electrical industry.

THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION (NECA)

The National Electrical Contractors Association is the management association for electrical contractors. NECA represents thousands of employers who guarantee their installations and perform quality work on time and budget. NECA electrical contractors satisfy their customers by doing the job right the first time.

To provide the highly-skilled workforce necessary to meet customer needs and ensure job satisfaction for electrical workers, the IBEW and NECA sponsor the very best apprenticeship programs.

ELECTRICAL TRAINING ALLIANCE

In 1941, the IBEW and NECA jointly formed the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC). That organization is known today as the Electrical Training Alliance. With local programs across the United States and Canada, it is considered the finest electrical training program of its kind.
